Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

What is Psychodynamic Psychotherapy?

A psychodynamic model encourages individuals to develop a deeper awareness of their emotions and process unresolved feelings. In this process we investigate the unconscious mind to gain insight into unresolved conflicts and unhelpful patterns that may impact ones life.

How does psychodynamic psychotherapy work in sessions?

In sessions, I foster a curious mindset to help create a supportive therapeutic environment where we explore past experiences, reflect on interpersonal patterns, and examine underlying unconscious motives. I often begin sessions with asking “What’s on your mind today” to encourage self-reflection and deeper internal exploration.

Who can benefit from psychodynamic psychotherapy?

Psychodynamic therapy can benefit anyone looking to build a better relationship with themselves and enhancing self awareness. This therapy has been effective for individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family dynamics, eating disorders, and more.
